Same as day 2, paddle to Virgin Islands and back.
Day 6
Today is the start of our epic 2-day journey, anti clockwise around Panglao Island and ending at Punta Cruz on Bohol Island, same destination as the previous journey but a much longer route. However today is a short day, 10km before lunch and just 6km after. By now the group was consistently travelling at least 3km/hr, so do your math, 3hrs in the morning and 2hrs afternoon.
Today's journey took us past more touristy beaches, with many small but beautiful resorts lining up the coastline. This is in contrast to the 1st journey whereby the coast was mainly cliffs and rocky.
Holiday makers enjoying the sun and peacefulness of Panglao's beaches.
Lunch at Alona Beach, a rather touristy spot. Somebody brought a frisbee (actually 2).
Being treated to an awesome sea view during lunch. This can only happen in atas (high class) restaurants in Singapore.
The number 1 water sport in Panglao is diving. Many dive operators and boats operate in the waters here, interestingly many of them are owned by Koreans.
2 divers preparing to dive off their small boat, less than 50m from the shore.
"That's the holiday house for rich politicians, for their secret rendezvous!"exclaimed Rey. "It's 150,000Php per night, includes its own private butler." We didn't see anyone in the house, neither has Rey in ALL the times he passed by.
Soon after lunch we arrived at Bikini Beach, but....where are the bikinis?? Forgot to tell you, you gotta bring your own. Beaching up here turned out to be a good idea, because we met a few masseuse who agreed to come to our resort later that night for a massage service, even though we were on another beach. 200php (S$7) for 1hr full body massage, can you beat that?!!
Arrived at our destination Bolod Beach pretty early, had some fun before beaching up.
