Kayaking Endau River (Day 4 & 5, end)

The 4th day was the longest paddling day in terms of distance. Just one simple direct rapid in the morning and it was flat water paddling all the way.

Sometimes when you are in the outdoors you can be too caught up with the tasks at hand, be it paddling, trekking or sailing. Then you fail to appreciate the simple beauty of nature around you. And it's free! It's good to be out there and doing nothing. Just float.

Kayaking Endau River (Day1)

The Endau river flows through Johore all the way to the South China Sea. Our trip started along Kinchin river, in the state of Pahang, and later joins up with Endau river. So it is not wrong to say we did a cross-state kayaking trip, from Pahang to Johore, over 3 days of paddling.

Sometimes there were rapids, sometimes we dragged the kayaks upstream. The rest of the time we just floated down the river, enjoying the tranquility of the tropical rainforest and listening to the sounds of wildlife. The elusive animals could be heard but nowhere to be seen, except one day when we got lucky!
